To RSU #38 students, staff, and communities,
Out of an abundance of caution Maranacook Community High and Middle Schools will be closed on Monday, October 31, 2022. We were informed late Saturday evening about an anonymous text that threatened violence at the high school. Police were immediately notified and we will be working with them to assess the validity of the information through the day. Since this is an ongoing investigation I can not share more information at this time. If your student has any reliable information or needs support please reachout to the building principal. We will share more information as well as how schools will reopen on Tuesday, November 1st in further communications.
Please note all school based activities are canceled including the “Haunted Halloween Walk” planned by the PTO this evening.
All other schools will run as scheduled.
